The awards aim to recognize business, technology and service excellence amongst the region’s banking and financial service industry. They recognize banks that have achieved exemplary levels of business excellence based on the latest global technology developments and are considered as role models for development in the Middle East. Speaking about the awards, Ali Al Kamali, Director of the Middle East Excellence Awards Institute said, ‘With the changes in the banking world, and new developments in the Middle East economy, speed and customer satisfaction is the key differentiator between the success and failure of banks. E-Banking offers a new dimension for banks to reach greater heights in customer service, banking services and convenience to the customer and employees. With this in mind, we have chosen Excellence in e-Banking as the theme for the awards in 2005.’ The awards will be presented in three categories: ‘Middle East e-Banking Country Awards’, ‘Middle East e-Banking Leader’ and the ‘Credit Card of the Year’. The nominations for the awards are evaluated based on a comprehensive set of criteria covering all aspects of the business with a special focus on the three P’s - People, Process and Performance. The nomination process is now open for all banks in the Middle East and nominations for the awards can be submitted online at www.meawards.com/banking. Senior banking and finance executives, C-level officers, government officials, ambassadors, diplomats and other dignitaries from the region and abroad are expected to attend the awards ceremony. |
