Linda Allen is a Professor of Finance at Baruch College of the City University of New York. She earned her Ph.D. at New York University and has more than a dozen publications in books, monographs, and academic journals such as the Journal of Business, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, the Journal of Banking and Finance, and the Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking. Professor Allen has conducted training seminars for Lehman Brothers, the New York Institute of Finance, the Commonwealth of Independent States Executive Training Program, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Bank of Israel. She is on The Advisory Board of The Financier and is an Associate Editor of The Journal of Banking and Finance. Ronald Anderson is a Professor of Financial Economics at Universite Catholique de Louvain and a Research Fellow in the CEPR’s Financial Markets Programme. He has also been affiliated with Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Baruch College, the City University of New York Graduate Center, and Columbia University Graduate School of Business. His current research focuses on quantitative modeling of credit risk. Charles de La Baume is a Professor at Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris. He earned a Ph.D. in Gestion Financiere from the University Paris-Dauphine. Charles de La Baume is the President of the Centre National de Recherche Financiere in Paris. He is the author of numerous books and scholarly articles in professional journals. His research focuses on interest rate risk and portfolio management. Joel Bessis is an Associate Professor in Finance at Groupe HEC, in France. He is a graduate from Ecole Centrale de Paris. He holds a MBA from the Columbia Business School in New York, and a Ph.D. (Doctorat d’ Etat) in finance from the University of Paris. He is currently engaged in designing and implementing risk management programs for financial institutions. Raj Bhala is a Professor of Law at the George Washington University School of Law in Washington, DC. Raj was a member of the William & Mary Law School faculty from 1993-98, where he received the university-wide award for excellence in teaching and delivered the inaugural Blackstone Lecture. He has been a visiting Professor at Duke Law School, and will, in the spring 1999 semester, be a visiting professor at the University of Michigan Law School.
