First Albany Capital Inc. has appointed James Hansen a managing director in its investment banking division. Hansen, who joins from Banc of America Securities LLC, will report directly to Peter McNierney, managing director and director of investment banking for First Albany. At Banc of America, Hansen was a managing director in the energy and power group in investment banking.
