Monthly Professional Development functions in Auckland were successfully launched on 9 May when guest speaker Brian Gaynor, well known and respected sharemarket commentator, spoke to 80 members at an AIBF breakfast. Brian’s subject of “Why New Zealanders have shunned the sharemarket” provided a fasinating insight to both the history of the market and its current comparison with other markets internationally. Also at the function were Dan Sawyer and John Puzey, representatives from Drake International which continues to show its support for the Institute by funding the AIBF Drake International Scholarships. Auckland scholarship winner Shashi Kumar, a Master of Business Studies student majoring in banking, was presented with a cheque to support her research into her specialist subject of intellectual… |
