Vietnam is to promulgate its first ever decree to combat money laundering and the financing of terrorism within the next few weeks, according to an official from the State Bank of Vietnam, the country’s central bank. Ngo Ba Lai, chief of the bank’s inspection department which developed the decree said that a completed decree had been submitted to the government for final approval and was scheduled to come into force by the end of June at the latest.
