The merger of law firms Denton Hall and Wilde Sapte is a little over a year old. Mark Hellowell talks to the head of the company’s PFI team, Ed Marlow It is just over a year since the largely public sector-focused law firm Denton Hall merged with banking and finance law specialists Wilde Sapte, putting Ed Marlow in charge of its Private Finance Initiative (PFI) unit. Marlow believes the union was just the beginning for a PFI practice ready to compete against rivals such as Clifford Chance and Linklaters & Alliance. In February 2001 Denton Wilde Sapte had 43 signed projects with a capital cost of 2.6bn [pounds sterling]. As the former head of the Denton Hall PFI practice, Marlow had an impressive record.
