Alexander has been with the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority since 1988, first serving as director of finance then as chief financial officer. He became executive director in January 2001. Under Alexander’s leadership, CHFA became the first housing finance agency in the country to close a multifamily housing bond issue using a multiple tranche structure never used before with rental and housing bonds. As CFO, he saw CHFA’s portfolio increase from $1.3 billion to more than $1.9 billion, while maintaining dual corporate “A” ratings from the top national rating agencies. Alexander is a board member of the LMC Community Foundation and the Northeast Denver Housing Center. He is an accounting graduate of Metropolitan State College. BRUCE K. Vectra Bank Colorado, the state’s fifth-largest bank with total assets exceeding $2.2 billion, operates in more than 50 locations employing more than 900 people. His banking experience spans more than 20 years in the Affiliated/Bank One Colorado organization. There he held a variety of posts, among these as president of two Bank One banks in Boulder, ultimately leading to the management of Bank One Colorado’s Western Region Real Estate Lending Division. He left banking for a year to head up the Denver Urban Renewal Authority. Alexander is an active member of the Colorado community. He was chairman of the Colorado Association of Commerce and Industry in 1997 and has served with the Greater Denver Chamber of Commerce, the Boulder Chamber of Commerce and the Boulder Economic Development Council. TODGER ANDERSON PRESIDENT DIRECTOR OF PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT DENVER INVESTMENT ADVISORS LLC Anderson and Denver Investment Advisors Chairman Kenneth Penland led a management buyout of the company from First Interstate Bank in 1995, creating a no-load family of mutual funds under the Westcore Funds name. Anderson has been with DIA and its predecessors since 1975. For the two years prior, he was a securities analyst with United Bank of Denver and from 1968 to 1973 was a personal trust portfolio manager with Manufacturer’s National Bank. He is a chartered financial analyst. The Michigan native holds a bachelor’s degree from Colby College in Maine and a master’s in business administration from the University of Denver. |
