Anderson and Denver Investment Advisors Chairman Kenneth Penland led a management buyout of the company from First Interstate Bank in 1995, creating a no-load family of mutual funds under the Westcore Funds name.

Anderson has been with what is now DIA since 1975. For two years prior to that, he was a securities linalyst with United Bank of Denver and from 1968 to 1973 was a personal trust portfolio manager with Manufacturer’s National Bank He is a chartered financial analyst.

The Michigan native holds a bachelor’s degree from Colby College in Maine and an MBA from the University of Denver.

Betty Carter Arkell

Arkell has more than 20 years experience as a corporate and securities lawyer. Her clients include venture capital and other private equity funds as well as established and emerging growth companues.

Previously, she worked for the Venture Capital/Leveraged Buyout Group of Kirkland & Ellis, where she was partner.

Matthew Autterson

Autterson oversees Resource Trust Co., the largest trust company in the country with $19 billion in trust assets following an acquisition last year. The Denver company specializes in custody and administration of self-directed retirement plans.

Autterson was one of the founders of the company in 1982 and has been president since 1986.

Autterson, 42, graduated from Michigan State University in 1979 and is married with four children.

David Bailey oversees Norwest Bank Colorado’s 52 banking locations in the Denver-metro area. In addition, with the merger of Norwest and Wells Fargo, Bailey also has responsibility for Wells Fargo’s three traditional bank locations and commercial lending activities in the Denver area. He ran United Banks in Boulder, Greeley and Fort Collins during his 30-year career in the state and has added his touch to the Minneapolis bank since 1992.

Bailey is the immediate past-chair of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, a board member of the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation, Japan American Society of Colorado and Metro State College Foundation. He is a trustee of Colorado State University Research Foundation and a member of Denver Rotary and Colorado Concern. He also is past president of the University of Denver Alumni Association.

Bailey is a Denver native and graduate of the University of Denver. He has an advanced degree from the Pacific Coast School of Banking.
